Что делать перед выполнением задания


 Before listening

  • Before you listen to the text read the questions very carefully.
  • Underline the key information in the questions.
  • Read all the options carefully.
  • If there are pictures, look carefully and think about words to describe them in English.
  • If there are numbers, dates, names or key words, say them to yourself to know how they sound.

While you are listening to the text you need to concentrate 100%.




















  • You don't have to understand every word. Don't panic if you don't understand everything!
  • The first time you listen, just listen for the general idea or gist.
  • The important, key words or ideas will be stressed. They are usually said louder and slower than other words.
  • The words that are not stressed are not usually as important as the words that are stressed.
  • In general, listen for the important, key words. Even native speakers don't listen to every word!

    Neil and Feifei discuss movie genres. Do you like romantic stories which are funny? What about a detective story in which you can try to be Sherlock Holmes? And don’t forget the futuristic movies – the ones with sophisticated robots and space travel. Grab the popcorn and listen to the programme.

     Examples

    My favourite sci-fi movie is Star Wars. I can't wait for the next film in the series!

    I'm catching a movie with my friends after work. We're going to watch the latest romcom.

    Alfred Hitchcock was the master of the whodunnit. Nobody makes better films in that genre than he did!



    Li is annoyed because there are people who only post negative comments on her social media profiles. Neil tells her to ignore the 'trolls' and 'haters' – are these the new creatures of the internet era?

    Готовимся к экзаменам:

    Аудирование


    1) Обратить внимание на вариант ответа "в тексте не сказано" - т.е. нельзя дать ни положительного, ни отрицательного ответа на основании прослушанного текста. Многие экзаменуемые пытаются дать ответ без опоры на текст, исходя из собственных представлений.
    2) Выбирают вариант ответа только потому, что одинаковые слова есть в вопросе и в тексте, забывая о том, что верный ответ, как правило, выражен синонимами.
    3) Не соотносят ключевые слова в вопросах и тексте.

    Рекомендации:
    •  Перед началом экзамена внимательно читайте инструкцию и извлекайте из неё всю полезную информацию. Внимательное чтение формулировки заданий позволит вам быстро ориентироваться в теме аудиотекста.
    • Одно из важнейших умений, которым вам необходимо овладеть для экзамена — это способность выделять при прослушивании ключевые слова в заданиях и подбирать к этим словам соответствующие синонимы.
    • Давайте ответы во время звучания аудиозаписи. Используйте 15-секундную паузу между первым и вторым прослушиваниями аудиотекстов.
    •  Запомните: выбор ответа в заданиях на полное понимание прослушанного текста должен быть основан только на той информации, которая в тексте звучит, а не на том, что они думают или знают по предложенному вопросу.
